DEVS AI Engine Terms of Service

1. The Service

DEVS AI Engine ("the Service") is a gateway that lets an authorized AI client execute one deterministic reading operation (devs_consult, always routed to supreme_reading) against the DEVS Motor, and returns the Motor's cryptographically signed output for the calling AI to present. Three supporting tools are also available: devs_capabilities (what the Motor can read), devs_preflight (connection/quota check), and devs_feedback (send feedback or report an error). The Service does not run its own interpretive AI step and does not fabricate or estimate any value the Motor did not compute.

2. Interpretive and calculated nature of the content

Every reading combines two distinct kinds of content: (a) deterministic astronomical/calendrical positions and values computed from ephemeris data and published algorithms, which are exact given the inputs supplied, and (b) traditional or symbolic interpretations drawn from the named systems (Western, Vedic, Ba Zi, Nine Star Ki, numerology, and others), which are offered for self-reflection and entertainment only. The Service labels which parts of a response are which; it never presents tradition as fact or fact as opinion.

3. No guarantee of outcome

The Service makes no representation, prediction, or guarantee about future events, health, relationships, finances, legal matters, or any other real-world outcome. Readings are not medical, legal, or financial advice. Do not use the Service as a substitute for professional consultation on any such matter.

4. User responsibility

You are responsible for: the accuracy of any birth, event, or other data you submit; obtaining another person's permission before submitting their personal information (see Privacy Policy, "Third-party data"); and any decision you make in reliance on a reading. You must not submit data belonging to a person who has not consented to it being processed.

5. Availability and interruptions

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis and may be unavailable, degraded, or rate-limited without prior notice, including due to upstream Motor maintenance, quota exhaustion, or infrastructure incidents. devs_preflight lets a client check current availability and quota before requesting a reading. The Service does not guarantee any specific uptime or response time.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) attempt to bypass the Service's authorization model or extract Motor internals beyond the public tool surface (devs_consult, devs_capabilities, devs_preflight, devs_feedback); (b) submit another person's data without their consent; (c) use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to produce content intended to deceive, defame, or harass; (d) attempt to exceed rate limits or quota through automated abuse or credential sharing.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, the presentation and structure of its output, and the DEVS AI Engine name and branding, is the property of the Service operator (see §12) or its licensors. You retain ownership of the data you submit (birth data, questions, and similar inputs). You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service and the readings it returns to you for your own personal or professional purposes; you may not resell, sublicense, or represent the Service's output as your own proprietary calculation engine.

8. Accounts and authentication

Access requires signing in through the configured identity platform (Google, one-time email code, or continuing without an account as a guest). Authorization uses OAuth 2.0 with Authorization Code + PKCE; access and refresh tokens are held server-side in an HttpOnly/Secure cookie and are never exposed to page JavaScript. You are responsible for safeguarding access to any device or session where you have signed in.

9. Privacy

Data handling is governed by a separate document, the DEVS AI Engine Privacy Policy. These Terms and the Privacy Policy together govern your use of the Service.

10. Changes to the Service or these Terms

The Service, its tool surface, and these Terms may change over time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected in this document (and its published URL) before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service or reliance on any reading, nor for damages arising from Service unavailability.

12. Contact and applicable jurisdiction

Use the official DEVS support channel presented in the product interface for questions about these Terms.

Notice

The service provides symbolic and traditional interpretations for self-reflection and entertainment. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice.
